Collaborations & Partnerships

PPBCC works closely with veterinary associations, academic institutions, and local government units to maximize the reach and impact of every project. Past collaborators have included the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Cebu Companion Animal Practitioners Association (CCAPA), and Southwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine (SWU-CVM), among others.

These partnerships enable PPBCC to pool resources, share expertise, and deliver high-quality neutering services efficiently during mass events and outreach missions.

The PPBCC's outreach missions bring essential spay and neuter services directly to communities that lack access to routine veterinary care. By working alongside local organizations and volunteer veterinarians, these missions offer low-cost and free procedures to pet owners who might otherwise be unable to afford them. This approach not only helps control the population of dogs and cats but also reduces the spread of rabies and other diseases. Each mission is a collaborative effort, relying on the dedication of volunteers and the support of local leaders to reach as many animals as possible, creating healthier and safer communities across the Philippines.

Mass neutering events form a cornerstone of the PPBCC's strategy to address companion animal overpopulation in a sustainable way. These large-scale gatherings bring together veterinary professionals, community members, and animal welfare advocates to perform a high volume of procedures in a short period. By targeting areas with significant stray and free-roaming populations, these events help prevent the suffering that comes with unchecked breeding, abandonment, and neglect. The collective effort also raises awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of rabies prevention, fostering a culture of care that extends beyond the event itself.

Local partnerships are vital to the PPBCC's mission of creating lasting change in companion animal welfare. Collaborating with barangay officials, veterinary groups, and other nonprofit organizations allows the foundation to extend its reach into underserved neighborhoods and remote areas. These partnerships help coordinate logistics, identify communities most in need, and ensure that follow-up care and education continue after the initial mission. By building trust and working hand in hand with local stakeholders, the PPBCC strengthens the infrastructure for humane animal population control, making each project a stepping stone toward a rabies-free Philippines where every pet is valued and cared for.
